FINCA LIFE ON OLD IBIZA, THE OLD DAYS.

The early Phoenicians believed Ibiza to be a magic isle blessed by the Gods, because the rich, red soil is non volcanic and the island forbids survival to any reptile, animal, insect or plant that can harm humans. To this day many people wear amulets and pendants containing the sacred soil to protect the wearer.

IBIZA FINCA LIFE a way of living, away from it all and only invite who you like. Finca life on Ibiza during the sixties and seventies was quite special, Lady Adriana (Ibiza Truus) invited many people over the years to enjoy unique moments between selected friends at the finca in San Rafael. Other lunches would take place at i.e. Es Caliu aka the meat finca, a restaurant specialized in T-bone steaks and cordero. Es Caliu is also a finca like place. Photos above and below, Lady Adriana at the finca with guests. Foto under at Es Caliu with Rusty Wilson and others.

The young Sydney was brought up at one of the oldest fincas on the island, a place where many artists, bohemians and personalities use to unite during the old days invited by the young Sydney. He named it Home of the Stars because of the visitors and the real stars in the Ibiza sky above the pure campo.

THE PURE WAY OF LIVING AT THE FINCA.

Living at a finca on Ibiza was and is something unique! Being in touch with nature all the time and being able to pull up fresh mountain water from the finca well. People and animals all live in peace and harmony...The simple things in life are always the best! (Photo) Sydney and dog Lita at the finca.
